Welcome to the 2015 Edition of the CFLD Paleo Challenge, AKA the Spring Slimming of 2015. I know it isn’t spring yet, but by the time it actually comes, we will all be beach ready.
Scoring is outlined in the intro to the document, and scoresheet can and should be used!
For this year’s challenge, entry will be 35 dollars, which will include a shirt, and entry into the grand prize, which will be 200 dollars cash and 1 month free membership (which you can use or can be given to a friend).
A kickoff meeting will be held at 7 pm on Monday (1/5) Evening if you have questions, but that won’t be required to participate. You must pay your entry by 1/5 to be a part of the challenge.
Pictures, measurements, and WOM improvement time will be added to the end of your score.
I realize you may not want to do the picture option, and it is not required, but will be part of the “winning total.” you can take your own pic, or if you’d rather, I will take pics and measure as well. They will never be public knowledge if that isn’t your desire, but it is hard to tell improvements day to day, you’ll be shocked at what two months can do! Food logs are also strongly encouraged, so any ties can be sorted out based on foods eaten etc, but do not have to be turned in to Ryan unless ties are indeed needed to be broken.
One more wrinkle this year, you are allowed 3 EXEMPT cheat foods, that must be approved by Ryan. (You can’t say “sugar” for example, nor ice cream). But if you bullet proof, if you eat rice, if you have tried quinoa and it works for you, all of these can be examples of “exempt cheats” that aren’t explicitly paleo. You MUST declare your cheats before 1/5, and are encouraged to have everything you need to eat paleo BEFORE 1/5, and ask questions until then as well.
