Who are you?
I was born in Denver, CO and aside from a year in Laramie, WY for my freshman year of college, I’ve lived in Colorado my whole life. #Native I’m big into everything that you would imagine a Colorado Native would like, including skiing, golfing, and generally just being outside.
Why Crossfit?
I played football at the University of Wyoming and University of Colorado, and then a few years of Arena League football after college, and struggled without a structured workout environment afterwards. I was always used to someone giving me the workout and making sure that it got done efficiently, but when that phase of my life was over, it was difficult to stay motivated the same way. I talked to Ryan, who I met through the athletic department at CU, and he suggested that I try out Crossfit Lodo. After the first class, I was hooked. Crossfit has allowed me to not only stay in shape and be active, but it continues to be an avenue for competition and camaraderie. Regardless of your athletic background or your physical limitations, Crossfit can be adapted to the unique needs of every athlete, and I really enjoy being a part of that.
Why Crossfit Lodo?
I’ve been a member of Crossfit Lodo since early 2014 and continue to enjoy the community that we’ve built. Whether you’ve been coming to Lodo for 8 years or 8 days, you’re just as important to our family here. Working out with like-minded friends makes coming to the gym a highlight of everyday, and has also allowed me to build lifelong friends to spend time with outside of the gym too.
